Snow White and the Seven Meeroos?

Let me start by saying, I love love love the show "Once Upon a Time". That said we all have our favorite storybook character right? Mine was always Snow White, no not the Disney version with the singing birds and cute but frumpy Dwarfs. No I'm talking about the Brothers Grimm version. I was never big on Disney Princess's growing up, and have always been a reader. Go figure Snow White would be my favorite right? Beautiful Princess, Poison Apple, Seven little men, and eventually the horrible death of the Evil Queen. What is not to love? Flash forward to my adult years and fade to the opening scene of the pilot episode of Once Upon a Time... The handsome Prince Charming riding his noble steed into the forest... Snow falling... Snow White in a glass box surrounded by... you guessed it Dwarfs. I was instantly hooked. Now for the record those of you who don't watch the show... It challenges everything you ever thought you knew about Fairy Tales. Okay.. I will stop yammering on and get to my actual post.

I breed Meeroos. Ya know those furry little creatures that make silly little noises and are so stinking cute you wanna snuggle them or smother them while they sleep to reduce the cuteness factor? Insert evil grin here. I love them really, I have been breeding them since day one however always seeming to be a step behind the big breeders. Lack of funds will do that to you. Anyway... I decided instead of Snow White having seven dwarfs I decided why not Meeroos? Go ahead laugh at me, but it was brilliant. And because I had nothing to wear for my "Once Upon a Time" inspired post I did what every good blogger does. I decided to go shopping, however I couldn't find what I wanted. So I dug into my inventory. And I found the perfect dress, hair and skin!

I chose an -AZUL- dress I have had in my inventory since summer. It's called Suzana. I also have this dress in the Limited Edition All black color that she made. I saw it when shopping one day and needed it. I cant help but buy a pretty dress when I see one. I have more formal gowns then I will ever wear I am sure, and yet I buy more all the time. Now if I can convince my husband to take me dancing I would be all set. Anyway, Mami Jewell is the creative mind behind -AZUL-. I can honestly say I have never bought a dress from her that I have not loved immensely.

To pair with my amazing dress I added some hair from (Posh) called Wednesday. Which is my favorite style that Jeanie Valois makes. She has so many amazing hairstyles it's hard to not love them all. I also added Maitreya's Hana shoes, which are not shown but are amazing, we all know how I love Maitreya's shoes. I decided I needed a pale skin with bright red lips to be Snow White, I happen to find this Glam Affair skin from a past TDR (The Dressing Room) event. I have never seen a Glam Affair skin I didn't love. This one is called Gio Natural. I can't even remember how long I have had it. But I can say without a doubt I love it. I am like Joie, every single time I see a Glam Affair skin at an event I buy it. I never know when I will need it right?

When my outfit was complete and I had picked out my Seven Meeroos I needed to figure out where to take the pics. So, I enlisted the help of fellow photographer and creative genius my amazing friend Reagan to help me. And My lord was I excited when we were finished putting together Snow White's Forest! I didn't wanna take it down when I was done taking my pics. Even the Seven Meeroos felt at home. I think I might hire Reagan as my official sidekick for my shoots. I might need an extra hand in the future.

Let's meet the Seven Meeroos shall we? Cheeto, Peppermint,Waffle, Monster, Dracula, King Tut, and last but not least (however certainly the tiniest) Tiny. They are quite the interesting little bunch of fellows. Honestly I have about 40 more where they came from, but these little guys are the special few I chose. My sim is full of Meeroos. I love the little furry buggers.

I absolutely loved taking these pictures and pretending to be a princess even if just for a few hours. I am so thankful to all of you who continue to read our blog. You make me want to blog every day, if only my RL would allow for that. Stay tuned for more exciting posts from me. I have a whole list of ideas!

OMGAH... Shoes!

So... Every girl love shoes right? And shoes with lots of options are even better. I swear I have more shoes in my inventory then I ever wear. And yet I keep buying more. Recently two of my favorite shoe stores have released new MESH boots. I absolutely had to buy them and I thought I would blog them and share them with the world! I had such a hard time choosing because well there are so many color options. Isn't that always the case? Sometimes I just go ahead and buy the Fat pack and call it a day, and sometimes I just buy a few pairs. That really depends on my mood... actually my budget really.

So first I started with Maitreya. Onyx LaShelle is a fashion genius I swear. There isn't anything she makes that I don't fall in love with and run to her store to buy. The new Devi Booties are to die for. I actually don't own many ankle boots maybe one or two pair and I must say I will buy at least one more pair of these. I bought them in Plum to go with my Cul de Sac MESH dress also made by Onyx (which by the way I own two of). They were the perfect match, it's almost as if she saw me coming!

And while we are on the subject of MESH boots, the Radical Boots also by Maitreya are my all time favorites. They were Onyx's first MESH release and I happen to own them in three colors now (Black, White and Caramel). I joked the other night that I should have just bought the fat pack back then. But I had no idea I would love them this much! For the future I think I need a part time job to support my shoe habit so I don't go completely broke.

So, There is this store called G*Field right? A store that I discovered early oh my goodness forever ago and happen to own most of her shoes. Cerberus Noel is the creative mastermind behind G*Field. I have to say I am addicted to her heels. I am one of those jeans with heels type of girls and so I have to have a good heel to go with anything I want to wear. And the color range... Oh my I was blown away with the choices. It's always so hard to choose. Well anyway where was I? Oh yes... her Leg Warmers for Heels! Honestly they have been out since November but I just saw them a week ago and had to have them. Of course I could not decide what color to buy so I bought the fat pack. Which is amazing because I just wear them, click them and up pops the menu with the color choices. And if I wanna be silly I can even have them 2 different colors! I paired them with G*Field's Ribbon Slingback Heels in white.

Okay so last but not least G*Field's New MESH Gina Lace-up Boots. I saw the picture of them and fell in love. So I ran to the store... okay I actually teleported over. I tried on the demo and discovered they have this amazing HUD that you just attach and it controls the color change menu. Of course after standing there for 20 minutes trying to decide what pair to buy I caved and bought the fat pack. I can't even believe how many color options there are. I was in heaven. I can wear these with anything which made my whole day. I then spent 40 minutes playing with the colors till my RL kids snapped me back to reality by requiring Mommy attention. Gotta love Shoes... and Kids!

Okay now you all know how totally obsessed with shoes I am. Which means if anyone comes across some cute shoes you think I need let me know in world... Message me (Maci Restless) and send me a Landmark. And now it is time for me to go shopping. Wondering what I have in store next for you? Just you wait and see. I am full of surprises.

Taste the Rainbow...

So, I am one of those shoppers that hits all the sales because well lets face it... I do not have an unlimited supply of Lindens. So every time Perfect Wardrobe puts out a new collection, I mosey on over and buy at least half of it. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about it is one of those places that a handful of designers throw something together in a new theme each run. This run... RAINBOWS!  When I saw some of the cute things I had to do a Rainbow post.

I found this cute dress with a cute little cloud and a vomit rainbow? Oh come on it is adorable. I had to buy it. It's called "My Happy Cloud" by Tentacio. I had never actually heard of the store and will have to go check out the cuteness at the main store. Of course I could not wear the dress alone right? So I grabbed some friends and took them shopping to help me figure out what to wear with it. I went to *Boom* and found the "It's Nipply" shirt. I had to buy the most outrageous color so why not Lime? At first I tried it over but, it didn't look right so I but it under the dress which also covered the cleavage hanging out too -Bonus!

My leggings are something a friend showed me on the marketplace that happen to work so well with my outfit. They are made by The Warrior Inside, a store I had never actually heard of. Oh well they actually worked perfectly, and were only 100L!

Izzie's a store I happen to LOVE, and by love I mean I own a lot of her clothes, was also part of the Perfect Wardrobe run this time. This Rainbow Color Necklace, oh and it also came with bracelets which are so cute but I chose not to wear them with my outfit.

Okay so, to finish off my outfit I had to throw on some cute sneakers and a ponytail with cute streaks in it. Oddly enough both are made by ACTION. My sneakers are Action Unisex Rockstars in Classic Pink, and my hair is Brittany 2 in Skunk. I have a couple pairs of their sneakers and more of their hair than I can count.   It's all super cute, and comes in so many strange colors in other words they are FABULOUS! Anyway I threw on a face piercing- something that rarely happens but I totally thought it was fitting. It's called Starbreeze from [-iPoke-]. I honestly don't own any other piercings but I will pick up a few more for later. Never know when the random things we buy will come in handy right?

Oh and did I mention the Candy Bouncy House from *BOOF*. I bought it about a month ago for my child sized amusement park in the sky above my sim for 20L... yes 20L off the marketplace. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for a Rainbow post. And yes that is how I got the name... I see Skittles and think of throwing them at someone and screaming "Taste the Rainbow...". Another time maybe... evil grin.

Hmm... I wonder what's next on Macicakes mind to blog? Stay tuned you will not be disappointed. It is super exciting. I have been shopping and planning and taking pictures for days.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend...

Here we ago again lovelies. I went shopping a few days ago and bought the cutest little dress. I then sat there and stared at it. I had zero Idea what I was gonna do with it. Where would I wear such a thing? Light bulb (insert shiny light bulb above my head). Blog it. I had been watching the movie Burlesque last night and could not get the song "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" out of my head. So Maci went shopping.

I had never been to *VoguE* before, but this dress was the one thing I saw that I needed. You know when you see that one pretty dress that you are sure you must have even if you have no reason to actually wear it? Yes... this is that dress. Usually, I buy pink or black but in an effort to switch things up a bit I bought the sparkly blue one. Sitting here singing that song over and over again I had another amazing thought. I needed diamonds. What girl doesn't love diamonds. I will admit two words came to mind - Donna Flora. Her jewelry is stunning. And I mean fall in love with want to buy outfits to wear with it. I stood there for about 40 minutes not being able to decide which set I wanted. Finally I decided on NAILA. I rarely wear earrings but I had to give these a try. The silver hoops and round diamonds are breathtaking. I am sure I will wear them till my husband gets sick of them, then I will demand he buy me a new set.

Oh and lets not forget my shoe shopping excursion. I don't often buy new shoes. I am one of those who has a few pairs she loves and wears them constantly. But I decided once and for all to take Joie's advice and Head to Similar. I had been there a couple times but never bought anything. I mainly would go there with friends and look. But today I finally bought my first pair. I found the perfect match for my dress in Scilla. Of course they did not have a silver option so white had to do. But these shoes... AMAZING. I will be going back again and again. The detail of the skin, perfectly sculpted toes, and ease of color match. I will admit I have a hard time matching my skin sometimes, I blame my OCD (which is a topic for another day).

Oh and did I mention my hair yet? Hmm... Well it's TRUTH - Evelyn. I happen to love the little updos Truth Hawks makes. They always manage to be cute and sweet. I swear I must own half that store. Every single time I get that note card that says "New releases at TRUTH" I swear I scream a little on voice with my husband and he replies "Oh joy... hair shopping again." And yes dear I do in fact need new hair once a week. I really do.

On another note I finally found a use for my pretty bathroom. I usually take pictures in my studio but I decided to change it up a little. Yes my house has a bathroom, two actually. What can I say, I don't like empty rooms and I love to decorate. Perhaps I'll do more pictures in my house? So this concludes this amazing adventure into the mind of Macicakes. And now it is time for bed... before I end up with key impressions on my forehead.

Welcome to Cupcake Land...

I welcome you to the land of Little Miss Fashion Cupcake. Yes, I may in fact be completely obsessed with cupcakes and fashion. So the obvious solution was to blog them both right? I have wanted to blog for months. I have put it off and put it off coming up with reasons why I can't do it. So finally I set it up right? And it sat there for a few weeks. I had no idea what to do with it, where to start, or where I wanted it to go. I think I must have driven a few people completely insane with my blabbing about it. So I was talking with my best friend Joie and she offered up her help. So we decided to take on the blog world together. Be afraid... be very afraid. Let the Cupcake Blogging commence!

I've been in SL across several different avatars for about 3 years. I have been through more fashion trends then I can count on all my fingers and toes. Some good, some scary, some we will just not mention. But ever since I discovered MESH I have been addicted. I actually go looking for cute MESH items. Hair, boots, clothes, even furniture. So when out shopping with my friends and SL husband we came across this store I had never been to. I was dragged there I swear however... I was instantly in heaven. And then I saw this sweatshirt. I fell in love. It's MESH, it's pink, has CUPCAKES and it says "We Bring You Happiness...". So of course I absolutely had to have it. And when trying to figure out what in the heck I should blog first... well why not my amazing pink cupcake sweatshirt? Yes it was the perfect choice.

So I went digging in my massive inventory to find some white leggings to pair it with. Plastik has some amazing leggings, in fact I own a few pairs. So I needed shoes right? Ok Pixel Mode's Baby T's with the sock were perfect however I had them in red and yellow, no pink. So off I went with the girls to buy a new pair in baby pink. I may have to go back and get them in every color. The best part - if you don't like socks she makes them without socks too. In looking for hair I went through about 6 choices before I found the perfect match in Wasabi Pills' Amandine MESH Hair. I own almost every MESH hair they have made. Like I said, I am addicted to MESH and to be completely honest I haven't found anyone else with MESH hair I was in love with... YET. I am sure given time some of my other favorite designers will start popping out MESH hair and I will go nuts and buy them all.

So where were we? Oh yes what else am I wearing? Well I always wear my [Mandala] Nails. I cannot live without them. They have about 70 options and look FABULOUS. I blame Joie for making me addicted to them. She found them and was all "MACI!!! You need these." So I bought them. And now I rarely ever take them off. The only other thing I never remove is my wedding ring. My amazing husband Taber bought our rings form JCNY. I saw it and it took my breath away. It's appropriately named Lovers Garden. I adore them, for many reasons. Their beauty being one of them, the amazingly loving man who gave it to me being another. Okay, okay, I am done being mushy. For now.

Oh so that means I made it through my very first blog post and I survived? Yay! Now what comes next? Stay tuned lovely ladies and see. There is so much more where this came from.
